Kibo / Glossary
The words, in plain language.
Six terms you will meet around Kibo and AI at work, each with a short definition and what it means in Kibo.
Sovereign AI
AI that an organisation runs under its own control: on infrastructure it chooses, with a model it can keep, and with its data staying where it decides. In Kibo: the platform, the model and your data run together on one server you control, and no outside AI service is called. Where Kibo runs.
AI-first
Software you use by saying what you need, rather than by finding the right menu or form. In Kibo: you ask in plain words, Kibo prepares the work and shows exactly what it will do, and you confirm. The screens are still there when you want them. What Kibo does.
Policy as code
A company rule that is applied by software the same way every time, instead of being remembered by people. In Kibo: a rule such as "purchases over 5,000 need Finance" is approved by the right person, versioned, and then applied by code on every request; the AI model never decides whether such a rule applies. Security.
On-premise AI
AI that runs on hardware in your own building or data centre, rather than as a service on the internet. In Kibo: one server with one data-centre GPU holds the platform, the model and your data.
Open model
An AI model whose weights are published under an open licence, so it can be downloaded and run by anyone on their own machines. In Kibo: the model is a file on your server that you keep, not a subscription you rent. Sovereignty.
Audit record
A written trace of who did what, when, and under which rule. In Kibo: every action and every rule applied is recorded with a name, a time and a version, so you can answer an auditor's question from the record. What is inside.
